There is evidence of worship here pre-dating Christianity in Ireland in the trefoil-well. The whole area must have seemed incredibly magic to our ancestors - to see the water (and air) bubbling up the way it does. Seems magical even now.

This is well worth visiting make sure it is a sunny day to enjoy it properly though.
Loely destination to spend quality time and unwind
The well is beautiful, excellent place for photography throughout the year. You can drink the water so be sure to bring a bottle as it doesn't get purer than this. Only take water from the flowing part of the well by the bridge.
Located about less than a kilometre from Marfield's Lake and about 3.5 km from Clonmel town. There's remains of old church and early Christian cross in the middle of fresh water pond.The water from the well supposedly has great healing powers.
