This is where the rich and famous live one being Bono of U2. The roads are narrow and winding but worth the trouble for the view.

An easy walk will take you from the car park to the top of Killiney Hill with 360 views of Killiney Bay, Vico Road, The Dublin Mountains, Dublin City, Dublin Bay, Howth in the distance. Impressive on a clear day.

The Killiney Hill is a great for an afternoon hike on a nice day. Its a gentle climb, but the views back towards Dublin are gorgeous.

And there is the Dalkey quarry - don't forget your climbing gear! Best place around Dublin to do some outdoor rock climbing. Both lead and top rope can be done there and grades are from "a walk in the park" to "out right brutal". Access is absolutely fantastic both with a car or public transport. Good walk up the hill from any direction and fantastics views across the East coast when you get to the top. Lots of nice seating areas on the paths and very clean and tidy. I would imagine the place is very busy in the summer!

This is amazing when you reach the top especially if it is a nice clear day. It is a good walk and as the name suggests a lot of it is up hill but it is worth it. I'd advise comfy shoes. If you get tired there is a coffee at the end of the hill.

Can be narrow in places, but if you slog it out, you'll reach the monument at the top commemorating Queen Victoria's visit to Ireland. From here you can look down on the bay, often compared to the Bay of Naples.

This hill is 25 mins walk from my house, and is a great place to walk. It gives fantastic view of the bay and offers fantastic trails through the trees. It is also a fantastic place for dogwalkers also, although its a shame they shut the coffee shop. Not a place to miss!
