Joe and Margaret ...looked after us even though we had hardly sat on a horse before..they took us about the paddock for a little before taking us out on a trail over looking some great countryside... Thanks Joe and Margaret for all your time and patience...

I'd had minimal exposure to horses before visiting the stables, but the staff ensured I was matched with a suitable horse and I quickly forgot any nerves after the first couple of minutes. After that it was great fun - I've never felt so in touch with the great outdoors before! Myself & my friends are going to go again... More

I had the chance to go riding here, the first time in my life to ride a horse, actually. Everyone was helpful. We actually rode to the hills around, so we needed permanent attention from our instructors. I never felt that I would be, at any point, at risk of anything happening. I am trying to not sound overly enthusiastic,... More

I purchased a voucher for a 2 hours trek on pigsback. I wanted to book this trek so I went onto their website where I had to validate my voucher. I did this and the website said I would be contacted within 48 hours. I emailed again 5 days later to ask what the story was. I got a reply... More

I appreciate you taking the time to write a review on our trip advisor profile. I would like to ask what shortcoming from our side caused you to have such a bad customer experience. As Irelands longest running Riding school, we take matters such as customer dissatisfaction very seriously and always like to see customer satisfaction above and beyond the... More

Our trip to the Lead Mines made for a great Saturday. I was a little apprehensive because I never had much riding experience before but the horse I was provided took care of me as much as the folks at Killegar Stables did. Made for a great day and a nice surprise on my first trip to Ireland and I'm... More

I had an amazing time horseback riding! It was a full sensory experience - the smell of fresh air blowing through my hair as we trotted up hill, the sound of the horses' foot steps on the cobblestone, the beautiful forest and coastline scenery, and the feeling of sun on my face. It was all very memorable. Definitely a LIVE... More

Cant say enough good things about Killegar. Firstly my LO attended Pony Camp at a very young age 2 wks ago & had a ball & learnt so much. Supervision great, 2 hours of riding per day & general pony care etc.. Great place for kids to learn, patient instructors, great ponies & a lovely atmosphere.. If you are looking... More

It was the best experience of my life watching my children take part in a wonderfully organised show-jumping competition by the owner and her helper Wayne. A true sense of equine excellence and I will go up again before the summer is over. Olivia Parker.
