Ness is owned by the University of Liverpool (staff get free admission). it is a pleasant walk around for a few hours. Excellent tea rooms (not cheap but amazing high teas!)

The gardens are lovely with plenty of variety, formal settings to wild meadows. The views over the Dee estuary to Wales are an added bonus. The Azaleas are all out at the moment and make a stunning display. There's a nice cafe and small shop with a plant shop outside. Well worth a visit.

Easy access and very well maintained gardens with an excellent tea rooms.
Many interesting plants. Good views over to Welsh hills/mountains. An excellent cafe/restaurant. If likely to visit mre than once become a "Friend" and make a saving.

Educational as well as pleasant. Good restaurant and facilities, and plenty of exercise in the extensive grounds. Deserves more publicity as it is rather hidden away; knowledge staff on hand to answer most botanical questions. and to inspire you to enhance your own knowledge and experience of gardening.
