My husband and were Doolin around the end of September. O Connors was everything we hoped it will be. The music was the best. the mussels were yummy. If you do not like crowds this may not be the place for you. We meet the best people there. the ladies from liverpool were amazing to meet. The locals are amazing and... more

We rolled into Doolin on a Sunday around 4:30pm after a long day of touring the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren. Our B&B host suggested catching the 5:30pm Trad music session at O'Connors. So we cleaned up and headed to O'Connnors for dinner, music, and a few pints. We got their early enough to get a good table right... more

Yeah, okay, this is the pub everyone hears about with the Trad sessions daily, but the first time we were there is was sooo crowded, I think because there was a tour bus there when we were there. I didn't get the friendly feel that I did in the other two pubs in town, McCann's and McDermotts, which are on... more

We recently visited Doolin - staying at the camp site. We visted O'Connors for a pint of Guiness and ended up staying all night! The food was great, the Guiness lovely, the live music was excellent. So-as a result we stayed in Doolin for 3 nights and went to O'Connors every night!!! Definately recommend however you go before 8pm if... more

O'Connors is the place where the musicians sit at a table, not on a stage. That made it all the more welcoming for me to jump in with a couple of songs. We wound up staying an extra night, and went there again. I'll be returning to Doolin in a couple of years for more wonderful stew, pints of Guiness... more

Spent over a week in the Doolin area and in at least one of the 3 pubs most of those nights. McDermotts has the best Beef stew - hands down. Gus O'Connors has the best atmosphere and music; McGann's was a bit stand-offish and not a terribly friendly place. Service in all these pubs and County Clare in general: god-awful.... more

We visited O'Connors pub last spring on a Saturday night. Had a fabulous time. closed the place down. GREAT music and dance. The beer is so much better there. The whole family loved it. We were just looking at last year's photos recalling the fun we had. That's what inspired me to write this review. The people of Ireland were... more

Great atmosphere, good food and cold drinks. You will run into people from all over the world here, don't miss it. But, I would go to McCann's down the road for music- smaller, more intimate and more of the "locals" will be there than at O'Connors, but do them both if you have time. more

I have been to Doolin for 3 years straight and have come to enjoy and appreciate O'Connor's Pub for the camraderie, entertainment and reasonable food and drink. My wife raves about the fish and chips ( says the chips are the best anywhere) I prefer the Guinness beef stew. We go to Doolin in February which for some may be... more

Very diassapointed with this place, had heard good reviews on trip advisior and had booked dinner for 15 people. when we arrived there were no tables ready for us and we ended up pushing tables together ourselves. I was then informed by the owner that is was a pub not a restuarant and told to have a look around and... more
