The couple that runs this place are very friendly. While seeing the monkeys chained up and being trained is sad, you have to sort of accept that it's just the way of life here. They do seem treated well out there. The goose is hilarious. You'll see.

The Monkey Training College at Surat Thani is a wonderful place to stay. Staying there is like a homestay, but on a farm. Somjai and Arjen (thai and dutch) could not be more helpful and are wonderful hosts. We were passing by Surat Thani and decided to visited the monkey college. Definitely a place worth visiting. The owners of the place are very friendly and the presentation was pretty interesting. Make sure to call before visiting the place. They also provide accommodations for overnight stays. Maybe next time we should try them when passing by the town.
