we went at the wrong time of year for this attraction - museum is undergoing some decoration. Staff were helpful and allowed us to look around (even though they were not technically open). Lovely views over the fjord even if looking a very old rocks isnt your thing,

You can walk by yourself and look at the rock drawings or yoy can use a guide. We had a guide and it was nice experience. It is easy to follow the wooden path around the area to see the different rock drawings. Its amazing to see how the change in different areas. My favorite: The skier
