The Museum and Winter Gardens are interesting to adults and children alike, Its a good day out with the added bonus of the beatifully landscaped Mowbray Park. Feeding the ducks and Swans always delights children and there is also an excellent playpark

This isn't a huge museum but is certainly very pleasant and well worth a visit. The winter gardens are again small but perfectly formed and a good place to relax and enjoy the plant life. The museum has some interesting exhibitions as well a gallery space that has housed some excellent exhibitions. I am a regular visitor when I am... More

Lots to see and do, although I felt the food is over priced. Def worth goiing but I would near by as there are lots of cafes and bars you can call in. The Winter Gardens is lovely and the play park is great for the kids.

Perhaps it's the Government's fault, the result of public sector cuts. What a shame. The park itself is gorgeous. Bring sandwiches and feed your crusts to... More

Winter Gardens are a great hands on experience and combine that with a wander around the interactive museum and café, it makes an ideal place to take the little ones (boys 3 & 5) on a rainy day. And if the weather's not too bad, a trip to the playground in Mowbray Park next door is lovely too.
