Lovely quiet relaxed atmosphere. Wander round at leisure or just sit and meditate.

I had heard of Dunblane Cathedral but had never been to it, to come to see this is really quite amazing. First things first, there is free parking, and if you are a member of Historic Scotland entry to this Cathedral is free. It is worth considering a donation, because it must cost a fortune to heat and light, not... More

Dunblane Cathedral is the kind of place that I would like to visit on my own, just to sit there and contemplate. The circumstances were different this time as I visited it with family and friends and still I think it's a place that inspires meditation and thoughts. It's beautiful and occupies a fine setting in Dunblane, but ultimately it's a just a lovely big cathedral. Doesn't seem to have a very fascinating history compared to some others around Scotland. Entry is free, so it's worth the detour.

All the preceeding reviews are quite true. But the Sunday services are great too. Increasingly popular with young families, with good hymns and clear preaching (both Scottish and American!). Do come along.

We liked the interior as it was lovely and quiet and the guide was very good as she knew everything about the cathedral
