We visited this wonderful establishment on a non show day.We were able to view the lovely gardens, museum and, observe the stableyard where everyone was busy and,the horses were extremely well cared for. A stunning Hispanic stallion was tethered beside a stable in the yard,he was not under any stress, just happy to there on view with the general public doing their best... more

Several of the reviews on this site express concerns about the treatment of the horses and their apparently unnatural behaviour. Potential visitors should be reassured that there is really nothing to worry about here. There's are lots of places in the world where horses are treated terribly. This is not one of them. Your average holiday pony trekking outfit typically... more

I am not not a vegetarian or animal lover but I felt a little uncomfortable watching this show. Yes the skill that the horses display are incredible but the whipping and cajoling of the horses to do these unnatural movements started to make me cringe after a while. I know nothing about horses but I sure that the foaming from... more

I guess you need a stronger stomach than mine to enjoy this display of bizarre equine behaviour. Though intended as a display of fine training, this show should be consigned to history. We left at the interval as despite the wholehearted approval of the largely Spanish audience, it was too unnatural a display for my taste and the horses seemed... more

The shows say only tuesday and thursday but there was a show on a Friday also ! It cost 24 euro each to see the horse display/show (worth every penny) and what is also included in this ticket,... more

The horses and riders at the Real Escuela are truly top notch. We watched their performance, "How the Andalusian Horses Dance", toured their beautiful facility, and watched the riders train the horses on two different days. There is not much else to do in Jerez, but the horses are worth the trip! more

We went on a non-show day, so our view was of the horses practicing, which was quite interesting. Try to sit as close to the royal box, or at least at the end of the arena, for the broadest view of everything that is going on. The grounds are gorgeous, as are the buildings and stables. Keep an eye out... more

I am sure you have done your research by the time you read this review but I thought I would add some comments about the show. I am not a horsey person but took my wife and Mum who are. They simply adored the skills and showmanship of the School and I found it very impressive. I think it is... more
