I can't understand some of the previous reviews of weddings in Lindos. Our day was just perfect! We chose to book through "Lindos Weddings", with Karen and Laurence Traynor. Can i just say that they were absolutely fantastic, and I couldn't have asked for more. They (and the rest of the team) created the perfect wedding day. Lindos is a... more

Lindos has kept its medieval feel, by the sheer nature of its geographical location, preventing much developement in the town itself. From the main road you can look across to the magnificent view of the Lindos Acropolis, and its only when you approach the edge of what looks like a chasm that you realise that the Town is hidden in... more

My husband and I went on our honeymoon to Rhodes. We went on a day trip to Lindos, to see the Acropolis. I found the whole experiance very disturbing. The poor little donkeys were made to carry people up a very steep hill, in the blazing sun. the owners of the donkeys would hit them, if they weren't cooperating. it... more

it sickens me to think that these poor innocent donkeys are forced to go up and down a hill so people can make money. they clearly struggle with the weight of people.i think its classed as animal cruelty, the people who own the donkeys are horrible to them they hit them and push them all over the place. i would... more

The village of Lindos is a medieval town. It is not a neat as Rhodes Town, but still worth a visit. It has cobblestone streets and all the old medieval buildings. However, like every other tourist location in the world, it has lost some of its charm due to the multiudes of tourist shops and peddlers. People also take donkey... more

My husband and I just returned from our wedding in Lindos @ St Pauls Bay Chapel. It was fantastic! It was not busy with other weddings, infact our group were the only people there. It is a very romantic setting and I would reccommend it to anyone. more

We have been going to Lindos on and off for the last 7 years, fantastic place for a really great holiday, so we decided that we would like to get married there in 2008, so returned to orginise it in September to arrange our wedding for August next year, what a dissapointment, there seemed to be a wedding every 20... more

The narrow and winding cobbled streets combined with the white painted houses make this a charming little town which is well worth a visit. The Acropolis is, of course, the main attraction but there is more to see besides, including a well preserved amphitheatre and the church of Panagia. No cars are allowed in the town but there is a... more

I absolutely adore Greece, especially Rhodes, but one thing i find VERY distressing is the way the donkeys are made to go up and down the Acropolis every day in the blazing sun. I know the greeks are not as passionate about their animals as us Brits but i feel this is totally unnecessary. Every time we pass them i... more

I found the cruelty to the donkeys most disturbing One little one was beat with a thick leather whip to make it run down a steep narrow road Another had just had a baby 2 wks ago & was working...engorged & dripping milk Something should be done to stop this unnecessary suffering more
