Theme park for very young kids. For kids it will be fun to be in 70's / 80's attractions. The park is unfortunately very low maintained and some attractions in repair. Few food shops are closed. I wonder how they still can keep the park open. Hope they can survive the coming year as visitors are not that high.

Hi damartinovic, thank you for your review. Our team is working very hard to improve the park and overall experience. We're glad to tell you we opened several new attractions and experiences last week (the Aviator, a natural maze, Brave Dino Rangers-experience and some interactive elements in fairytale houses).

It's a little bit dated, that's why I give it 3 out of 5 stars. It really needs some modernization and improvements. The good part about this attraction is that it's simply fun for small children to walk a bit around everything and climb up the mountain. I wouldn't go to this park with larger children.

Hi jochem, thank you for your review! Currently we are working on improving the park and overall experience/storytelling. We've recently installed some new, fun experiences, like the 'Brave Dino Rangers'-camp and small fun interactive elements in some fairytale houses. We hope to see you again some day!

Quite run down in places. Could have used the last 2 years of co-vid to do some much needed maintenance and redecoration. Totally unsuitable for wheelchair users, even those with pushchairs will struggle due to the uphill nature of the park. Rides etc. only suitable for up to 12 years of age. Those any older would probably be bored silly. With minimal content for adults thought it expensive to enter plus in Netherlands seniors start at 70. Recommended length of stay extended due to time needed to climb the park.

Our kids loved it! The park is located at a beautiful green environment and there are a lot of different attractions and activities for kids. The staff is friendly, the food was good and we were able to sit down and watch our kids play, which was comfortable for us as well.

Bad experience, I really can't say allot of positive things. The only good thing was friendly personal.

So why this rating?

it felt like the time took over! Allot of things where old and dirty. Like the bouncing castle full of fungus and dirt. Also there where nettles everywhere. For a place that's for little children this is really not oke... allot of the attractions where closed and se shop only sells candy ?!.... all together not recommendable to go to this place, I think you better can spend your money and time somewhere else

When visiting this park, you have to remember - children see things differently than adults. In our eyes, it might look dated, in need of some paint touch-ups, perhaps some renovations or SOMETHING to bring it into the current times... However, in the eyes of children this place really IS fairytale forest.
There are some playgrounds, a pirate-ship, a carousel, slides, swings, water play area and more... My son took about 5 hours to discover every single corner of the park. He did not skip any attraction. As I've said - for children this is all you need.
There is a restaurant and 2 kiosks, however it is allowed to bring in your own food and drinks. I have noticed the locals with picnic baskets and blankets sitting on the lawn or at one of the many picnic tables. Really, for the grownups, there are SO MANY places to just sit down while the kids are running around. There is literally a bench in every corner.
I would say if you are in the area with young children, and the weather is good, you could spend a very nice day here. We sure did.

Family with 2 small kids (both under 4 years), the park is old and need serious update, the overall feeling that the place is not really being taken good care .
The tickets are expensive and for nothing, we were visiting during spring break, when u expect a lot of kids, but the park was almost empty, probably because of good reason.
Conclusion, the park has good theme, but need to be renovated, until then waste of time and money

I have 2 boys of 3 and 2 years old. This park was very good for them. They could do almost all activities which is quiet unusual for their ages.
Even the parents will have a good time 😉

Nice forest in the centre of Valkenburg with different little attractions for the kids, showing and explaining the fairy tales. Some of the attractions are maybe a bit old (from the 70ties, but the kids don't care) and could use a bit of refreshing. The paths in the forest are sometimes very steep which makes it difficult to walk with big buggies (but I guess the parents can also use the exercise). All in all though, we and the kids enjoyed our time in this forest.
