Don't know about the beach itself but there is a really nice promenade you can take going down to the ocean from shopping center. Walking further you will also find some place to eat.

Not the best beach in Gran Canaria, but good for families. It is plenty of locals.

This is to the east of Maspalomas and is walking distance to Playa del Ingles or use the cheap taxis. It has small shopping centres and a some large hotels with many residential chalets. It is a nice area.
