I have climbed Mt Warning once and reached the bottom carpark once. The first time was amazing. Took about 3 hours to get up and fog surrounded us. (1 hour down) We waited at the top for friends to catch up and lucky we did for the fog parted for a 10 mins and we were rewarded with a fabulous... More

We decided to climb the mountain on Good Friday. There were quite a few people doing the same thing however it was a very pleasant experience. It took us 2 hours to get to the summit and then we had to climb the escarpment with the assistance of the chain to get to the top. The view was awesome, be... More

I set off with my 10 year old son arriving at the bottom of the mountain at around 7.30am. Cloudy top so no expectations of view. I am average fitness and was interested to see how long it would take us. Slow and steady we went. Lots of steps at the start - I think if you can go up... More

This is not a walk/climb for the unfit. It took us just under 2 hours and it was great to have done it. We saw a brown snake up on the path but apart from that nothing to worry anyone. If you enjoy walking then you will enjoy this. I recommend into anyone who wants to do more than walk... More

It's said the summit of Mount Warning is the first place to see the sun rise on the Australian continent...however, you have to get a *really* early start if you want to experience it. We opted for a more civilized 8 am start, which worked out totally fine, since it was very cloudy early on and we likely wouldn't have... More

Climbed Mt Warning on 29 December 2011. Awesome fun! Key points for 1st timers (like myself) - for SUNRISE hike. 1. Leaving Queensland for New South Wales, remember the daylight savings time differences i.e. sunrise in Queensland is 1 hour earlier than the New South Wales time, just so you don't miss it! 2. Weather forecast is KEY, especially for... More

Many people visit Mount Warning, if you want a short walk or long walk through rainforest then this is a great place to see. Make sure you take water with you. From Gold Coast Airport (Coolangatta) it is approximately an hour drive out through Murwillumbah in Northern NSW. It is a photographers dream location.

Climbing Mt Warning, near Murwillumbah is one of those 'once in a lifetime' must-do activities. It took me until my mid 50's to do it ... and yes there were times when I thought I was mad to try! I was accompanied by 2 sons - both life-savers and one a policeman, so I felt relatively safe! Take plenty of... More

Climbing Mt Warning has to be one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life, but I loved doing it. It takes about 3-4 hours round trip. You will know that you can make it to the top when you are still able to walk after climbing the hundred or so steps at the start. The rainforest... More
