Spent a week there this year with a bushwalking club. It is so peaceful down in the valley, but with plenty of things to do if you want to: walks, fishing, cave tours, swimming, and just up the road is Kiandra with all its history, and lots more walks in Kosciusko National Park. Caves House is the original 1901 building... More

This is a fantastic place to get away from it all. Caves are outstanding, swimming in a naturally heated pool and bushwalking in the surrounding area enjoyable. The real beauty of the place is no TV or mobile phones. (you will cope!) They even generate their own hydro electricity. Caves house is an old world restored delight with shared kitchen... More

We did the guided tour of Jersey Cave and there is only one word - WOW! I had not expected such beauty in the cave and it just gets better the further you go inside. Our guide from the NPWS was outstanding, full of interesting information, and with a absolute passion for the caves and the surrounding area. Put this... More

I had forgotten the size of the wow factor after nearly 20 years. My co visitors were very impressed as well. Due to time restraints we only did the self guide cave and then the thermal pool. Take mozzie repellant!

Jersey Cave is the one not to miss , but each of the four , have their differences and highlights. the caves are not huge but have amazing colours and formations. NSW Parks Service staff are excellent - informative and helpful. Accommodation [ self-catering] is available at the Cave House on site. Lovely, very well renovated 1900's building, very comfortable.

Lots of activities: hot spring pool, swimming in alpine rivers, exploring caves, bush walks with nice picnic sites. Best for all, no health and safety personnel regulating everything you do. Best attraction - jumping into the hot pool then running down to a nearby alpine creek to cool off.

Access to caves is via 6K of good gravel off main road. Note that there is no town of Yarrangobilly as such, nor Kiandra, so if you need fuel or food, you won't get either. There are excellent (flushing!) toilets near the visitor info centre. Food and drink are also available there. We did the self-guided tour through the South... More
