Its just a ferry, but a ferry in Sydney harbour, so it's really the cheapest way to get a great view of the harbour bridge and opera house. Got on the ferry at Pyrmont bay where the casino is and went to circular quay. There was nowhere to buy a ticket at the wharf in Pyrmont and when we asked... More

The ferry got us to Manly, Darling Harbor and the Zoo. A trip and harbor tour all in one! No need to take the harbor tour.

We took a ferry to the zoo and back . Get a late one back so as to see the harbour bridge all lit.

on the cheap! Australia is so unbelievably expensive to visit, eat and drink in (though I understand breathing remains free, for the moment), that you need to use every trick and opportunity, and this is a great one. Just do not forget your camera. And given the shameless rates hotels charge for WiFi in Sydney and beyond, the fact that... More

The ferries aren't super fantastic, but the harbour they traverse is. Feeling board? Just get on any old ferry and go there and back.

Ferries are a fun and inexpensive way to get around the city. Highly recommend it instead of a cab, when it is convenient. During rush hour, the ferries are faster.
