I was disappointed with Manly Beach. The adjoining beach-front seems to be a little barren and unexciting. The beach itself is lovely.

So much fun. I had never been on a surfboard before. The teachers really know how to teach and in a matter of minutes, I was able to stand up on the board and ride a wave in. Definitely an awesome experience that I hope to do again some day.

Manly has a great feel to it and the beach even more so. It is the centre of all activity in Manly and it was great to watch the surfers and families at play. The beach was clean and the restrooms were too! An ideal beach for families, friends and fitness freaks!

Such a cute wee beach, surrounded by bars, restaurants, shops and cafes. Great to visit and soak up some sun.

great beach onthe ocean (not an inner harbour beach!) close to the city, although a bit full during the main season. Also nice the option to wander to Shelley beach if one is keen to swim in calmer waters or enjoy the sunset in the cove.

Stroll down the beach. The Bower restaurant (on the way to Shelley Beach) is to die for - modern australian. For outstanding " posh" fish and chips, go to Mongers near Coles
