For not a lot of money, the taxis take you places the ferries don't and with a running commentary that can be interrupted to answer questions. Great fun and recommended.

I went to Circular Quay around 5,30pm just at sunset. Took some great photos of Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. A good time to go there as not too crowded and easier to take photso with perfect sky colouring

If you can do it, try for a sail. The most peaceful, intimate way of going about Sydney Harbour. Then, if you are not that way inclined, Sydney ferries are also good. Less intimate, but inexpensive and picturesque.

This Harbour is what Sydney is about. If there is a more beautiful city in the world from the point of view of location then take me there! The wonderful part about the Harbour is that Sydneys undulating landscape affords water views from the most unlikely locations.

No need to spend the money to take a private boat ride of the Harbour..just buy a round trip ticket on one of the ferries (to the Aquarium or Manly for example) and you will see the Harbour

I am always impressed by Sydney Harbour - so much to see & enjoy. Have breakfast at Portobello cafe for the view - right by the water, near the Opera House. Have a drink at sunset at the outdoor Opera Bar (also near the Opera House) and enjoy the view. Stroll around the harbour, have a look through MCA (Museum... More
