! organised a surprise camping night for my family and friends at Cockatoo Island recently, It really is a terrific spot and it looks fantastic at night. The cliffs and industrial equipment are lit up and look like megalithic sculptures (we thought reminiscent of Easter Island). Cockatoo island itself is GREAT but we had some problems with the couple running the show - we found them unfriendly and a little aggressive, to both adults and children. Little issues became big deals for them so I would maybe give this campground a miss until the stress levels die down. What's more, the Foreshore Trust won't allow a... more
