I visited this Museum with very high expectations, especially of the Cyclone Tracy exhibition, and it only just made it to my expectations. The art gallery wasn't that big, compared to some i've been to, but had a wide range of aboriginal art, so if you are into aboriginal art, this may interest you. the cyclone tracy exhibition was pretty... more

This is a big museum about 10-15 minutes outside of town. We went to many museums and galleries in Australia to view Aboriginal art and this one had the most diverse, interesting collection by far. Plus there are many other exciting exhibits (we love the highly creative ceramic award winners when we were there). more

I really liked this museum. The wildlife part was interesting and educational, the exhibition on cyclone Tracy was really good too. What I liked best was the aboriginal art section, which I found excellent. The location of the museum is also great and you can walk from Mindil beach to the museum along the shore passing a nice look out. more

I really enjoyed visiting this museum. The Cyclone Tracy exhibition was particularly good and it was very powerful to go into the darkened room and listen to the actual sounds recorded of the cyclone. The museum cafe was also very good. more

This is a varied museum with an excellent Pacific boat collection, wonderful anthropological exhibits, and an exhibit about devastating Cyclone Tracy -just to name a few. There is plenty to keep young and old occupied. Much better than I was expecting. Also, the museum restaurant is well worth planning a meal around. Fabulous. more
