We discovered Berry Springs on our second to last day in Darwin - if it had been earlier we probably would have visited twice. It was just brilliant! You won't find this in any of the tourist guides, but is definitely worth a visit while in Darwin. About 60 kms down the Stuart Highway, is a gorgeous place called Berry Springs. It is a freshwater swimming place, complete with waterfalls and beautiful clean, clear water. No crocs either!! Great picnic areas and even a little kiosk. Beautiful. more
