I normally stick to the basics, but since they have so many different animals and my trip was short, I splurged on the tour. Best money spent! And helping to support such a wonderful place of really caring people was icing on the cake. The behind-the-scenes really gave me a chance to be up close to the animals and get... More

I went with Miramar Cruises to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary with my boyfriend and had a fantastic day. It was great to see and learn about the beautiful homes and neighbourhoods that line the river. The Koala Sanctuary was a lot of fun and holding a Koala was a highlight of my day. My boyfriend really enjoyed the birds... More

A great way to spend the day. Get the tickets at discount from Tourist info in Queens Mall and use the public transport to get there. All details at tourist inf. It's a lot cheaper that organised trips and there are no time pressures once you get there.

Took the koala river cruise up. Nice way to get there with good commentary. The price is very reasonable. Get lunch on the boat, cheap and delicious burgers, better than the sanctuary food. The koala photo is overpriced but it pays for the park to operate so suck it up and pay the $16 each. Dont miss the other animals... More

It was a nice relaxing day when I visited. That was a long time ago. I guess it would have improved a lot since then.

We went to Lone pine via the Mirimar cruise which was an excellent idea, we had a nice leisurely cruise filled with informative commentary on the way to Lone Pine. It may be smaller than the bigger zoos but it was every bit as enjoyable and it was great to be able to be so up close and personal with... More
