Great place to go for a leisurely stroll with the option to go for a swim, visit the weekend markets, cafes, restaurants, bars, live theatre or sit down for a coffee & or a desert. Very relaxed atmosphere.

Was worth the walk to check the parklands out, not bad but the Roma Street Parklands are far nicer and worth a visit much more!

The Brisbane Southbank is a must go for the visitor, it has many restaurants to choose from or just grab a feed and sit in the grassed areas nearer the river; we had a walk along the riverbank and then went to the markets that are held there on the weekends. After the floods in 2011 the parklands are looking fantastic. Green, lush and inviting. So many cafe's to choose from, beautiful scenery, spotlessly clean. Just a wonderful place to spend time at.
