I had an awesome time doing a two-day, one-night trip with Deep Sea Divers Den. The staff is fun, knowledgeable, very safe, and incredibly entertaining. The trip also seems to attract a diverse group of really interesting travelers. I would do it again in a heartbeat! Only suggestion would be to check the wind as the trip out to the... more

My husband and I did a 3 day 2 night liveaboard, and we had an amazing time. The crew was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the price was great. Our room on the boat was larger than I was expecting. There were a lot of opportunities for diving, and it was great that you could head to your room or... more

I am so glad I had a chance to get certified with deep sea divers on the 4 day open water course. We had a nice small group of 4 with 2 instructors. The first two days kind of reminded me of going to traffic school except half way thru you get in the water and test out your knowledge.... more

Take along a warm top after 1 hour of diving in 24-25C water in September it helps to get warm ready for the next trip. Try the excellent brewed coffee when you come back from the dive to warm up. Take along a camera as I missed out al of of good surface pictures. Hire one of the boats under... more

DeepSeaDivers den was recommended to me by some friends for my 5 day open water course including 2nights and 3 days out on the reef and they did not disappoint. From start to finish I had a great experience. The instructors and staff at the dive centre were a good laugh and there was a really nice atmosphere. Nothing was... more

I just got back from a five day liveaboard along the Great Barrier Reef and Coral Sea aboard the dive ship Taka. The three day trip didn't get out to Osprey Reef, and the seven day (a combination of the three and the five day trips) seemed a bit too long. I had a great time; the diving was superb,... more

I just completed the 4-day open water padi course with deep sea divers den (DSDD) in cairns, and chose the option which included one night aboard Ocean Quest, sleeping out on the reef. As per earlier posts on this website, it is definitely worth the extra $$ to spend at least one night on the reef, as it makes it... more

We took a 5-day PADI Open-Water Diver course with Deep Sea Diver's Den in August 2009. The course consists of 2 days in the classroom and pool, and 3 days (2-nights) on their overnight ship the Ocean Quest II. We found the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Everything was very well organised -- despite dealing with lots of customers at... more

My wife and I had a 5D4N dive trip to the Cod Hole and Osprey reef on board the Taka boat, run by Deep Sea Diver's Den. We must say that it was a really well organised trip and the crew on board the Taka took great efforts to make our dive trip a comfortable and safe one. The cod... more
