I cant believe that some people have written bad reviews about this amazing place (although i have noticed most of these people didnt do the guided tour - which is probably why) . I had heard of Paronella Park but not extensively and had decided to take a day tour to the Atherton Tableands - i dont remember the name... more

Paronella Park is a nice place to visit but certainly not a must see. There is a lot of hype around this attraction. It seems the owners (yes, it is privately owned) have done a good job of building this hype. The truth is that Paronella Park has a semi-interesting story behind it, a decent waterfall, and some damaged buildings.... more

Jose certainly had some vision undertaking such an amazing project, and seeing it completed in his lifetime. It is place for a quiet walk through the beautiful jungle, and going on a tour is a must as the guides know all the flora and fauna in the park, and point out things of special interest. There are numerous places for... more

My sister and I visited Paronella Park in 2007 and what started out as a quick visit ended up being a 3 hour stay and we would have stayed longer, but had to find accommodation before dark. So unique in Australia and indeed anywhere I have been. The dedication of one man and his dream and the work he put... more

I love Paronella Park From the moment you are greeted at the door by the owners, to the beautiful surroundings, waterfalls and the fairytale told by the great staff the day was perfect. It rained harder than I have ever known for an hour of the visit but we still loved it and will be taking all of your visitors... more

Before we went to Cairns I asked online about interesting attractions there. Several people wrote back and said "Don't miss Paronells Park". We asked again when we got to Cairnes and some of the locals said, " There's not much out there." Against their advice we went to Paronella Park. And we were absolutely blown away!!! If you love gardens.... more

My wife and I live in Townsville and have heard snippets of info about the park, I have even driven past a couple of times and said one day I'll do the tour. We were a bit hesitant to pay the $32 entrance fee but decided what the heck, we're on hols and the tour was free with admission. Absolutely... more

A highlight of our 6 week tour of Queensland. We did the day guided tour and the night guided tour, both were excellent. The entry fee included two tours, an overnight powered site in the caravan park and a 12 month entry pass. The owners and staff are passionate about preserving and restoring this wonderful piece of history. more

Last weekend I took my fiance and my mum who had flown up from NSW. We had been hearing all the hype and advertising so finally our curiosity got the better of us, and we decided to do it as part of a day trip from Cairns. The park touts itself as being one of the best things you can... more

It's unfortunate that, on occasion, visitors decide not to take the guided tour. These tours are there to ensure you understand what Paronella Park is about and to answer questions like those posed in your review. Access to certain structures throughout the park is limited for safety reasons. Cyclone Larry damaged many of these structures and we're currently working towards...

We went to the Paronalla Park as a self drive day trip from Cairns along with Babinda boulders. The falls inside the Paronella Park was beautiful. We were able to take some good pictures that turned out to be one of the best of our Cairns trip! My son enjoyed feeding the fish and turtles. Having to pay $32 per... more
