What an excellent, unique service. These guys do an incredible job........... well worth dropping in to check it out.

This is worth a visit - a DVD on the origins of RFDS and how it has grown over the years and how people in the remote areas of Australia can receive both medical and physical help from this great organisation.

My wife had to be transported down to Townsville from Cairns urgently - great staff, great service - we were so appreciative, they went out of their way to allow me to travel with my wife

This shop come information centre is truely needed it explains how the service covers the needs of people who live in isolated areas round the state. Without these people the 'bush' wouldn't survive. The centre is well placed for a visit. Staff are well informed and very pleasant.

Our daughter liked this and it was nice to hear the history of what the flying doctors do.

The only thing I didn't like was the 38c+ heat. You get an entirely different prospective of Australia through the RFD. Words fail me. Increadible, astounding and simply amazing. I love the school of the air children, broadcasting from very remote places.

The RFDS visitor center at Edge hill closed in mid 2010, and there is not a visitor center at the airport.

This is a hidden treasure,its a must see,whilst there call into The Edge Hill village for coffee or a meal at Café 110 on Collins,this will make your day :)
