Im not going with these guys again. Most of the instructors are belittling. The boat is smallish and really you dont get enough food. I say theyre rude coz on more than one occasion they looked like they didnt want to be there. The managers promised a whole lot of stuff and didnt deliver also(but thats another story not related... more

Although there are many Reef excursion company's to chose from, My day aboard Passions of Paradise was one of, if not The best day I have had out on the reef. I am a local agent in Cairns, and have had the opportunity to travel with many different boats to the reef. The location that passions goes to is great,... more

We booked this trip through our B&B, and we had high hopes. This trip offered a river cruise (on the way to the island), snorkeling and an island interpretive tour. This trip was through Cruise & Dive Frankland Islands. Several interesting points, first the good: 1) the river was nice, 2) the food was plentiful and tasty. Now the bad:... more

My friend and I went on the Osprey5 to the Reef and can thoroughly recommend it. We are of advanced years 63 and 72 and thought that the staff wouldn't worry about us. How wrong we were - they couldn't have been more attentive and made sure we enjoyed the day. We went on the submarine tour which was something... more

The crew on the Poseidon were fantastic and made my first snorkeling adventure a memorable one. Their instruction helped even seasoned snorketers in our group. Very worth the money. CQ, from the National Geographic Group more

Had a great day out on Flynn's Reef on board the Silverswift. Found the crew very friendly and professional. They made sure certified divers were in the water first, followed by intro to scuba people, and finally snorklers to make sure the back of the boat wasnt overcrowded. The highlight of the diving was the turtles and we saw a... more

My wife and I took the Frankland Island day trip as our visit to the Great Barrier Reef. They picked us up at the hotel and then took us by bus to a boat that took us to the island. It was an incredible day. I upgraded to the introductory dive and had the time of my life! Took some... more

My husband & I took a trip to the Great Barrier Reef with Quiksilver tours. We had to ride a boat out to the place where we snorkel We had no problem with the boat ride, but if you are sensitive about boat ride (seasick), I don't know if you're going to survive the boat ride out there. I believe... more

While in Port Douglas we elected to spend a day out at the reef. Now we prefer smaller boats (up to 80 passengers) so we steered away from the large Quicksilver cats in search of a smaller less crowded boat. Top of our list was Aristocat based on reviews on Tripadvisor. However when we booked, the weather was forecast to... more

We know you can't blame the weather on the Cruise company, but our day can only be described as TERRIBLE! If it had just been a cloudy rainy day, that would have been manageable. Unfortunately the 4 days of unseasonably heavy rain had caused the visibility to be less than one meter - what that meant was that we couldn't... more
