I went with my wife, as it was her first time to Australia, we hadn't seen much land based wildlife, and had a couple of hours before we needed to head to the airport. It may be a bit corny putting a big bird cage on top of a hotel with a casino but it actually works. The variety of birds are quite amazing and the way it is laid out inside lends itself to feel bigger than it actually is. Small children or those who like birds would love it as many are... more

I am a Cairns local, and hadn't visited this attraction before. I was looking for something to amuse my 3 yr old son during a relentless wet week. Our visit to see the animals of Australia and the Rain Forest Dome was far more enjoyable for both parents and children than expected.
