We had a great time with Wavelength during our trip to Port Douglas. Everything from the transfer from our hotel (right on time) to the check-in procedure, onboard instructions, meal + snacks, snorkeling (!!), marine biology presentation was completely professional and impressive. The staff was warm and personal during the 90-minute ride out to the reef. They took time to... more

The trip out to the reef with Wavelength was fairly rough, winds were only about 15 knots. They offered complimentary sea sickness tablets (ginger and medicated) throughout the day as needed which was very much appreciated. The sites wavelength visits (3 in total each day) allow the snorkeller to see so many different things just not possible on a pontoon.... more

We did 4 reef trips in our 2 week holiday in Cairns and the one we did with Wavelength was the best of the lot! I second what Sydney_silky has said in her 9-Jun-09 review. We stopped at 3 sites and each time felt like you had a guided snorkel tour as we had 2 marine biologists in the water... more

We chose Wavelength because it was for snorkellers only. It was great not to have to wait for divers before you got in the water. The staff are fantastic - very, very friendly and helpful. Strongly recommend them if you are looking to go snorkelling on the reef and do not want to share with 60 people. more

My husband and I definitely enjoyed our day trip out with the Wavelength crew during the Queen's bday long wkend. Booking online was easy and Carolynne ensured that our reservation confirmation was received. On the day, the weather was perfect and from the very beginning we were greeted by our friendly minibus driver who arrived on time with a smile.... more

We picked wavelength because we wanted to be on a small boat, and we were extremely happy with our choice. As one of our party was not very confident about swimming, the staff (Eric in particular almost gave us a personalised tour of the wonders of the reef) made sure that they were still able to get the most out... more

Booked our trip to the Great Barrier Reef with Wavelength because it was a small (max 30) snorkeling only boat and we had a fantastic time. Three different snorkeling sites during the trip and an attentive crew who did everything they could to make things great. The on board marine biologist took us on a great snorkeling tour and showed... more

Last Saturday we were lucky to have perfect conditions on the reef ( as I am 5 months pregnant, I was worried about rough conditions/sea sickness) but the water was like glass, with very little wind. My partner and I loved the intimate feel of the boat, as you could talk to staff and ask lots of questions. On leaving... more

We chose Wavelength because it was a small (no more than 30 people), snorkel-only boat (on other trips with divers, I always felt that the snorkelers were a secondary focus). These folks do an excellent job. They are knowledgeable marine biologists aboard, who provide nice little lessons about the geology of the reef as well as marine life. Three stops,... more

My husband, 7 year old and I went out with Fluffy and Renee on April 15th. My daughter was nervous at first but with Fluffy and Renee's encouragement and enthusiasm she was soon hooked on the whole idea. We had a fantastic day and Fluffy somehow managed to get pictures of everyone and everything and made sure we all had... more
