While I didnt spend any time here during the day, the locals tell me it is the place to be during the afternoon for a few beers, or also for a sunday session to finish off your weekend. The spacious outdoor beer garden is perfect for the climate there! Inside is a decent if slightly dated bar and then upstairs... More

What better way to pass time that sit outside with a cold beer watching the passing parade? Great location, excellent pub food. Staff probably as good as you can get in a transient environment. Great live music. Pity the Blue Pyrannes Shiraz was not in stock!!!

Sorry to say but this pub has one of the worst security policies I have ever witnessed, when does it take three bouncers to calm down one patron without physical punishment, this guy suffered a cut eye plus other physical markings, only for speaking his mind. Bear in mind I was an observer with only two drinks under my belt,... More

Since there are not too many pubs in Port Douglas, this is rather the busiest place to have a couple of beers and a snack. But don' t expect anything more...

My wife and I went to drink a sun-downer cocktail in the upstairs bar and restaurant area. The barman was unhelpful and rude throughout the process of ordering cocktails. He made no effort to make us feel buying these expensive cocktails was to be an enjoyable holiday experience. We felt like walking out. For example having told us we could... More

Met here for drinks with a group of people after our tour. The upstairs bar is where you want to be. The sunset lounge offered good views, good food and a great atmosphere without the feel of a pub. Drinks we found were a little dearer upstairs than we paid for downstairs but the view and ambience more than made... More

We've just spent another mini-break in nearby Port Douglas and once again had dinner at one of our favourite spots - upstairs in the Sunset Lounge at the Courthouse Hotel. We hadn't been for about a year or more and were soooo delighted to find the steaks were every bit as good as the last time. We both had the... More

We had a great meal upstairs at the Court Hous hotel. The food was good and well priced, the staff were great and the very best part was David with his two friendly white cockatoos who said hello and goodbye appropriately. What a lovely touch to have him share his much loved birds and take superb photos of us too... More
