We had planned on this being our extravagant Thanksgiving meal, since we were not in the states for Thanksgiving. Our evening turned out to be such an enormous disappointment. The food was mediocre, the portions were tiny, and the entertainment was sparse and droll. There was little to take from the event. Even the bus transfer was little more than... more

I attened The Flames of the Forest in October 2009 and had to come on this site to tell others of my experience. I found Falmes of the Forest to be the most amazing dining experiance I have ever had. Right from the beggining where you enter the first clearing to be welcomed with the beautiful sight of candle light... more

We went to Flames of the Forest for a very special family gathering. Not only were we all blown away by the setting, but the performance was great and the staff were fantastic. And for anyone going to Flames of the Forest my advice is to not eat the whole day before!! There is so much food i could not... more

I went to the Flames of the Forest cultural and dining expereince a couple of months ago and was both impressed (the food was amazing) and slightly underwhelmed at the same time. I liked the shared dining expereince, after a couple of wines the conversation flowed nicely. The food was bought to the tables progressively, and rationed so that very... more

A very disappointng experience. The supposed show was nothing more than two natives telling a dull story. The food was adequate for this type of event. This is grossly overpriced. more

Flames of the forest is a major scam, we thought it would be an intimate dining experience to top off our trip however we were placed on shared tables and forced to socialise (which isnt a problem, but is the last thing we wanted to be doing on a dining evening). For $400 I feel scammed and wouldnt recommend it... more

The rainforest of North Queensland exists on both private property and in National Parks, in which it is not possible to have commercial enterprise. Does rainforest stop being rainforest when it is privately owned? We do market and offer a dining experience which does not require guests to socialise with anyone else and are served a three course dinner. This...

I really love the whole concept of this place. Although I did leave wanting to see more aboriginal performances/music, a group of traditional dancers needs to be added to the night on top of the story telling part it would provide a truly enriching experience. I really hope they make a few changes because I think the aboriginal culture is... more

The flames of the forest experience is the biggest dining rip off I have ever experienced. The food was ordinary the wine was cheap and the entertainment lasted about 15minutes. The cost of the evening was $400 for a couple and I would expect something special for that. For the same price I could have a meal and nice wine... more

To clarify some points in this review of flames of the forest. It is not a restaurant experience and we make that clear in all our marketing. For $199 AUD, it includes: a return hotel coach transfer arrival fire effect champagne and canapés at Pre Dinner a six course plattered dinner to shared tables All champagne, wine, beer and soft...
