When at the Arts Centre I enjoy taking a wander through the gallery. The travelling displays are always worth a visit and there's always plenty of parking available. Can always combine with a trip to the movies or a show.

The GCC Art Gallery has a lot of positives. The food is lovely - I have eaten here a few times for lunch & dinner. Service is good & friendly. The theatre is comfy & they offer a variety of different films.
I am a regular and many years ago I was a volunteer here. In my humble opinion, the management are desperately trying to buy/show 'cool' art- there is very little depth in the collection. The recent Border Art Prize showed the real lack of direction in the art community here on the Gold Coast. There are som amazing paintings hung...

There are some interesting shows in the GCAG but unfortunately the two gallery spaces are very small and kind of pokey. The volunteers that run the desk are always enthusiastic and lovely. Now and When was interesting and the annual Stan and Maureen Duke Art Prize is worth a look.
