Outstanding bird life including Rainbow bee Eaters
A great drive through some natural habitat close to the city and beaches. Only minutes from the strand but it feels like you are in the bush. We saw snakes and lots of different types of birds, including Brolgas and spoon bills.
Lots of Brolgas this year and a few Jabirus along with a myriad of other species.
From the turnoff at Rowes Bay, it's basically a 7 km dirt road leading you into the natural bushland of the Town Common. This protected area has an abundance of bird-life, and other assorted marsupials and reptiles.
