One of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. The white sand, clear sea and the fish swimming up next to you. It was magical and very emotional seeing such a beautiful place. Whitehaven beach is reached only by boat. There is no accommodation so if you dont have accommodation on a boat you can only day trip - no campers. I have been to Australia before- but this was my first time to QLD. Just beautiful. Whitehaven beach was just paradise. Blue crystal water, white sand. My friends- you must see it!! more

This beach is unbelievably beautiful. The water is clear and pristine...an amazing turquoise color. Pictures do not do it justice. The sand is soft and white and almost as fine as powder. We took a day tour with Fantasea, sailing out of Hamilton Island in November of 2007. It takes about 30 minutes or so to sail from Hamilton Island... more

In May 2005, took boat out of Airlie Beach. Absolutely loved the tranquility, beauty, clean water and awesome white silica sand! I highly recommend and plan to return! more

This is the beach you have dreamt about. Perfect silica sand that stretches on for miles, beautiful crystal blue water and large enough that it is does not seem crowded. We did a day sail to Whitehaven from Long Island and spent a few hours at the beach. Wish we could have stayed longer. A Must Visit! more

Whitehaven beach is possibly the world's perfect beach. Pure white sand, fine and smooth to the touch.
