The volunteers who developed this museum, probably helped over the years by government grants, have done an amazing job. Presentation of the exhibits is first class. It is easy to reach by TransAdelaide train on the Outer Harbour line, with Adelaide's ridiculously cheap fares, at least by Australian standards. So much to see and do at this wonderful museum. Many, many old engines and carriages under cover in two gigantic sheds. Cover will be appreciated in Adelaide's hot summer. Kids love climbing into the drivers' cabs for some make-believe play. Take a ride on a modern mini diesel train around the perimeter of the museum. Also the famed "Tea... more
