You get a one on one tour which is very personal. You get to ask all the questions you want and it is so interesting to actually walk through the underground house. Everything about how she built it was explained.
It was incredable the amount of work she did and how successful she was. Great tour guide who explained alot! Thanks for sharing with us.

Once again, I was treated on a personal level and not just another customer. The story behind this dugout is fascinating. Here was a true pioneer woman who knew what she wanted and worked to get it. Not to be missed.
The underground homes at Coober Pedy are fascinating. These underground homes are a practical solution to living in very high temperatures. The living rooms and kitchen areas seemed more comfortable than the bedroom area which was closed in by low ceilings. This is definitely not a place if you are nervous in closed places.
