At Bonorong you will see native animals which are extinct everywhere but Tasmania such as the famous Tassie Devil, Tasmanian Bettong, Eastern Quoll and Tasmanian Pademelon. You will also see favourites like wombats, koalas, kangaroos, possums, lizards, native birds and so many more. The animals of Bonorong are loved and cherished by all of the staff here at the Park and we are sure you will love them too! « less

it is nice to feed the kangaroos. staff is very helpfully and will answer any questions that you have. it is not very big but it is nice to see and touch some local animals. They take in injured animals so by going there you help them to keep that up.

Bonorong is a fantastic sanctuary! The staff are friendly and enthusiastic and make visitors feel welcome and engaged. The hands on aspect of the tour is great and it was nice to hear the individual stories of the animals. Hats off to the staff for all the wonderful work they are doing!

We had heard great things about the nocturnal feeding tour and the experience surpassed our expectations in every way! We will never forget it! Wombats, Tasmanian devils, kangaroos, koalas, and so many other animals...all with distinct personalities and each with a story at the sanctuary. So much different than seeing wildlife at the zoo. Owners and volunteers are so passionate... More

A visit to Hobart, Tasmania, should definitely include a visit to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Upon entry, we were immediately surrounded by kangaroos and wallabies, probably attracted by the free food we were give for feeding. There are many kinds of Australian animals at the park, most which have been rescued. There are talks and walks provided by the very competent... More

We did the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary booked through the tourist information office and LOVED it. The kangaroos were friendly and allowed as much petting as one could take. We saw wombats, the Tasmanian Devil and birds of many colors and sizes. I could have spent hours there but our shore excursion only allowed one hour. It seemed a bit of... More

My husband and I took the special evening tour - after the sanctuary closes and all the nocturnal animals come out for the evening. We spent a wonderful 3 hours with Bob, who is one of the dedicated volunteers, feeding, visiting, interacting and learning about the native Australian wildlife in their care. Later in our trip we visited the Sydney... More

Roaming Kangaroos that take the food that the staff give you right from your hand. Wombats and Tasmanian Devils and Koalas and much more. Without parks like this the Tasmanian Devil population would be in real danger of extinction. It is obvious that the staff are dedicated to the rehabilation of the injured and orphaned animals and are very knowledgeable... More

We had a private night time feeding tour with Tony. I couldn't imagine a better guide! He is very knowledgeable about all the different animals (and about Tasmania and Australia, in general) and he really made our tour unforgettable and personal. Greg Irons, who owns and runs Bonorong, spoke to us and it is really amazing how much he and... More

We were very impressed by Corey, one of the staff here, who gave us a tour of the animals in the park. He was extremely enthusiastic and obviously loved the animals. Good to see they are doing something about the rehabilitation of the Tasmanian Devil.
