South Hobart is fine, but I'd probably not take a trip there for entertainment purposes! Btw the photo looks like Salamanca Place not South Hobart.

Such a lovely part of Hobart. Salamanca place with it's Saturday Market, the Restaurants, pubs, art shops, accomodation houses and specialty shops. Views of Mount Wellington.Historical buildings. It has it all.

On your way to the cascade brewery & female factory is south hobart, a miriad of period townhouses and cute cottages with the main street slowly being introduced to some alternative style cafes and restaurants, deli/foodstore, gift shops and antique shops. Has potential but is in middle of some building works. Worth a stroll down and a peek when looking... More
