This delightful reinactment of our Australian history was the best hour and half spent in Hobart. Anyone could go to the "female factory" near the Cascades Brewery, and have look blankly at the four walls that remain, but to actually be taken there by "Louisa Reagan" and listen to her story was much more interesting. Judy and Chirs (professional actors)... more

As other reviewers have opined, the performances by Judith and Chris(who are professional actors) present the history of The Female Factory in a coherent, poignant and memorable fashion. This is unique experience that is well worth the time, effort and expense. more

My daughter Miriam and I visited Tasmania for 5 days and had lots of fun, but this walk was definitely the biggest success, coming up just above a night trip to see fairy penguins close up and all the icecream we put away. Judith and Chris were just marvellous with her (she was the only child on the tour, and... more

You cannot help but become absorbed in Louisa's hopes and fears on her journey from London to Hobart's womens' prison as her story unfolds with your active involvement. It is so real that the transition back to the present is required, along with the warning to "mind the speedy horseless carriages" as you cross a modern road. Truly excellent and... more

Great introduction to Tasmania's history. My 14 year old boy really enjoyed it. (That says a lot). I thought it was great. Start your trip with this walk & combine it with a tour of the cascade brewery. more

This proved to be a real highlight of my trip to Tasi, Chris and Judith's passion for history really shines through and the walk was a pleasure start to finish. For the duration (about an hour and a half) the performance really takes you back in time and by the end we all felt that we knew the characters and... more

This was one of the highlights of Hobart. Chris and Judith (Louisa and William) made this experience come to life. My 2 daughters gained more knowledge and empathy from this tour than anything else we did including Port Arthur. I highly recommend any family to do this tour. Luckily for us it was a beautiful day and our tour was... more

My Husband and I really enjoyed Louisa's Walk when we visited Hobart, Tasmania in early March, 2009. The tour was very personal and we felt like we had taken a trip back in time. The telling of history via live theatre is a bit different to other tours we have done and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I highly recommend... more
