The expression 'earn your turns' usually means you hike to a cornice and ski untouched powder. Down Under the expression means "get a high paying job coz you'll pay dearly for every turn'. This place must think its Aspen. When you arrive at the Tollbooth, expect to pay $35 for the day's entry fee, and its a few hundred dollars... More

Mount Buller, the ski resport in the Australian Alps used to be the perfect place for families. We had been visiting as a family for the last 10 years and love the place. That said, after our last experience we will NEVER go back again. Why? Our most recent family trip was devestated by the hostility and loathing we received... More

1. Occurs to me that this ski resort is deliberately angled more toward the family and friends, and is not so much a rambunctious, party town. 2. Caters to lots of day-trippers, and excellent choice of rental facilities which are well organized. 3. Mount Buller Ski Express coach service operates from Melbourne and does a pick-up at the airport on... More

We went from Melbourne in the morning...to Mt Buller..The journey was quite long..it's about 3 hours and the way was quite slippery .. Along the journey to Mt Buller, we could see farms there...cows, sheep, horses..so our children loved this journey. And before we reached Mt Buller, we went to Mansfield shop where we could rent jackets, boots ,etc. And we... More

Went to Buller for the first time with our 2 teenagers booked in for some private ski lessons which work out well for a family 4. Our youngest had never seen snow before and took to the lessons straight away a great instructor. Next day the 2 girls did snow boarding which they once again had a great instructor. Buller... More
