I have been going since I was a little girl and it never ceases to amaze me, how the the Melbourne Zoo always try and make it amazing for the animals.... they look happy, content, well looked after. Its a brilliant day out, great walk around, with so many amazing enclosures.... A terrific day that you won't regret.

What a great collection of animals and all housed in natural settings. Don't need to be a kid to enjoy, and I really loved the frog and reptile house.

Good place, small ride to rest the feet, giraffes and all animals in good conditions. Weel done

Excellent I was very impressed better than expected. Definatley worth going to whether you are on your owner, with a partner or family.

I love the zoo. There is something always on. If you come between Feb-Apr they have zoo twilights where you come around 5:00pm, then you can wander round for an hour or so and then there's a band. Every time I go back to the Melbourne Zoo, it gets better. The new enclosure for the giraffes is so much better. I love the area for the elephants. Bring a picnic, there is plenty of grass. The zoo is professionally managed. they are vey clean and we can see most of the animals easily. plenty place for take a rest and enjoy the park. what I don't like is the ice crean queue... it is tooooo looooonggg....

The massive improvement in the environment at the zoo creates a world of its own and it is so easy for kids to run along a path and come face to face with the animals. Excellent enclosures which do their best to keep the animals comfortable and give them a stimulating environment.
