This museum is fantastic. Went to view the latest exhibition and as usual enjoyed it. Always worth a visit when in Melbourne.
I visited with my kids (7 and 4) and they were entralled for most of the day. The indoor rainforest was fascinating. The dinosaur exhibit was awesome. The kids play area is a great idea with reading books, toys and play area.
Great place, heaps to do. Lots of different collects of native animals. Excellent
I visited the Melbourne Museum last week on sadly my final day in Melbourne :( The Mesopotamia exhibit should not be missed. It's a special so you'll have to pay additional to see it. Huge huge huge. Start early and stay late - there's a LOT going on here. Great interactive exhibits on all kinds of wildlife, dinosaurs, the human body and so on...
The subjects are not that interesting, but maybe if I visited the Messopotamia exhibit it would be more exciting.
I vist the Melbourne Museum at least once a year when I visit (for thye footy) & have enjoyed so many amazing displays, from the British & Cairo museums. The whole experience is fantastic
Great Museum, lots of informative exhibits, went for the King Tut Exhibition, but had a look at Phar lap & some of the other exhibits. Had a lovely lunch in the cafe too!
Super half day. New interesting exhibits. Mesopotamia exhibition was particularly good
