We visited on a beautiful summers evening and listened to the Australian Symphony Orchestra. It was wonderful to see people of varying ages enjoying the experience, and quietly mingling over plentiful and delicious picnic baskets. Children can move around to the music up on the banks,, or the more devoted listener can take a picnic chair closer to the action.
Every year in February...the Melbourne Symphony orchestra normally gives 4 free concerts at the Sydney Myer Music bowl. Excellent venue and well worth the effort to attend.
very nice view and lovely park around it. take a picnic basket with you and enjoy the beautiful Melbourne summer nights
Have been there numerous times over the years. Great venue for live music
If you can catch a concert, the Myer Music Bowl is just a great way to spend a some time with a picnic in the sunshine, followed by a walk around the Botanical Gardens.
Love the acoustic sound and atmosphere at the Myer Music Bowl
I took a backstage tour and really enjoyed seeing the venue from a completely different angle. Seeing behind the scenes gives a real 'insiders' view
I've been here for many performances mainly for the MSO. Lovely grounds, relaxed atmosphere, well organised productions.
The slopping theatre style chairs, get in the way if you are at a festival or dance concert and you want to have a boogie.
