Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our guide, Rita, was brilliant! Very helpful, informative and patient, and took us to many off the beaten track places. Highly recommended.

Although the Melbourne Visitor Centre in Federation Square is permanently closed, there are many locations around the city where visitors can gain information, including the Melbourne Visitor Centre at the Town Hall in Swanston Street. Prominent corners in the city often have volunteers who can provide information. Melbourne is based on the Hoddle Grid, it's relatively easy to find your way around once you have a map.

The tourist information is in the town hall while they are doing work at Federation Square but the service is still fantastic. The staff picked up on anything we said and supplied info on all our thoughts. Thanks Team.

When I go into Melbourne city I usually call into the Visitors center in the Town Hall building to get the latest information on what's on, what's showing and interesting walks and tours to take and any other questions I have about Melbourne - and they always help me - and I live here and always find out something new about this marvellous city of Melbourne.

I have long visited the city tourist information centres and found the staff helpful and informative. I usually collect brochures for regional centres and maps where they exist. Sadly brochures rarely have town street maps anymore. You have to find the Info centre at the town, which is not often well located for visitors coming by train.

The Melbourne Visitor Centre can tell you everything you need to know about Melbourne. They have maps and brochures, and can tell you how to get around. Melbourne is a relatively simple place to negotiate if you know where you are going. The trams are useful, and you can travel for free in the city centre. The Melbourne Visitor Centre is adjacent to the Town Hall, at the corner of Collins Street and Swanston Street.

Hi
Probably the easiest way it to hire a car and drive via Calder Fwy/M79.
Alternatively catch a train from Southern Cross Station Bendigo via Sunbury which take about a hour and the catch a bus Macedon. Exit via Victoria street and either a taxi or 4 KM walk.
Hope this helps.
