Wattle Park was originally established by the then Melbourne and Metropolitan Tramways Board, which is now privatised. It is a very large park about 16 kilometres east of Melbourne, and is easily reached by Yarra Trams' Route 70 tram which leaves from Melbourne's Docklands and Flinders Street: a Zone 1 trip. An alternative is to take a Connex suburban train... more

As the title may suggest, Wattle Park is just another park. I live in Melbourne myself and live all of 1km from Wattle Park. When I first saw that Wattle Park was on the list of places to go in Melbourne I was horrified. I run my dog there! The park is quite nice however with lots of natural Aussie... more
