While the gardens at Government House look magnificent, they are not open to the public. Walking along St George’s Terrace you can get some great views of the gardens, but the gates were all closed. I’m not sure if you can access the gardens.. Government House and gardens are wonderful, but if you can only look from the street then...

Not a fan of having a UK queen's rep in australia. Great gardens though which are sometimes opened to public at lunch time. Concerts in the ballroom usually good.

Unfortunately entry to public is restricted to special occasions a couple of times a year. Plenty of photo vantage point though. Gardens are very nice.

The building is old and beautiful - the gardens are old and beautiful - and our governor lives in the heart of town. Great
