Lovely peaceful spot in the middle of the city to "cop a squat" at lunchtime (although there are also a number of benches). Gardens are always immaculately maintained and there is a water feature and some kangaroo sculptures up one end. Not a huge set of gardens but interesting anyway.
We are pretty lucky to have these lovely gardens in the middle of the city - very accessible - good pathways (I was on crutches at the time) and ouwld put you in a better frmae of mind if you were heading into court for a hearing!

The gardens are wonderful, but I also recommend checking out the little Supreme Court museum. The front has been set up like the old Court house and in the back (where the Chambers would have been) there is lots of historical information - including some evidence exhibits from old cases. We ended up spending hours in there. It's free too!
I found myself here by accident the other day when I arrived too early for an appointment on Barrack Street.
