The best overall views of Auckland are available from the summit and now buses are controlled the public will benefit more than the tour companies

It is a very distinct volcano crater shape. There is no second guessing about what the hole looks like. To visitors to New Zealand it is quite amazing to see this lying in the middle of a developed city, freely accessible to all.

Well worth a visit to get fantastic 360 degree views of the city, on a clear day its amazing.

It was just an average attraction , nothing great about it . A good walk and a good view of Auckland city on a sunny day ... May be a little overrated...

Grab a sandwich and spin around at the top of Mt Eden. It's a 360 degree view that covers two oceans, mountains, two harbors and one of the prettiest cities on earth

Mt. Eden can be seen from almost anywhere in AKL. It is a dormant volcanic crater that also has significance to the Maori's. You can walk all around, but not into, the crater. Nice views and they also have park representatives at certain vantage points to give you the history of the site.

On a sunny day you can see forever. Very impressive look out 360 degrees.

You do get some nice views across Auckland. I am sure they would have been a lot better on a clear day .It was very windy and overcast when we were there.

Take a picnic to the top, and enjoy for free what you would have to pay heaps of money to do at the Sky Tower. Dawn and dusk on a fine day particularly recommended.
