Took the family up there on a windy day to fly kites. Lots of space to do this in. Had a picnic lunch, and enjoyed the harbour view. Easy parking, Not far from Kelly Tarlton Aquarium

MJ Savage Memorial Park provides excellent views of Auckland and the surrounding areas. There is plenty of open area to sit and rest and have a picnic lunch if desired. There is also a memorial to the first Labour Party Prime Minister MJ Savage. The memorial has a pool and flowers surrounding it.

A well are manicured and lawns well mowed, it is hard to find even a weed. you feel the peace and tranquility just by walking arround.

A lovely open green space with always something going on - from families having picnics to people flying kites. Lovely views around Auckland and once an iconic place to watch the Auckland Anniversary Day Yacht races (January).
