We drove to the top as it as getting late. It was a beautiful day so the view was quite amazing. I would recommend it with bad weather though.

Awesome place to get away, get some fresh air and exercise, or show friends the Hawkes Bay vista. Has a range of tracks for the weekend wanderer to the hard core fitness freak - good signs around and friendly locals to help you navigate!
not that great, just a hill with a view. the walking tracks are good though.
This was a very nice scenic drive in the Hawke's Bay area, well enjoyed on a day we were trying some food specialty shops and driving around the Havelock North and Hastings community.
We really enjoyed the small, winding roads and the views from the peak of the nearby plains, wineries, townships and Cape Kidnappers area were very good. Views...

We drove up and the road is a bit narrow and windy at the top but the views are spectacular
This peak gives you a panoramic view of the Hawke's Bay area. I very much liked the view toward the Tukituki river.
The approach with steep drop offs and no guard rails is not for the faint of heart. If you are scared of heights and you are not the driver, close your eyes until you get to the top....

A long and winding road with a few dodgy bends, but once you make it to the top, the views over Hawke's Bay are stupendous. Great liitle drive through a really cute part of Hawke's Bay. Up on top, you have a great view of all around Hawke's Bay and on a somewhat clear day you can really take some beautiful pictures. Drive is not too crazy up the hill, considering some of the other roads in NZ, this was a piece of cake!
This is a place where we always take our visitors, the view on a clear day is stunning and gives one a perspective of location of surroundings areas/ towns etc. A great place to see the extent of the Tuki Tuki valley.
Worth the short drive or walk to the top, magnificent views.
